Temple University Ambler
EarthFest is an outdoor educational festival held in celebration
of Earth Day.
EarthFest partner, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society,
offers the
Kids Grow Expo and Junior Flower Show
as part of a full day of interactive events and exhibits
promoting environmental awareness and the use of sustainable
concepts, methods, and practices to protect and preserve our
environment. Food and entertainment are also part of the
festivities!
At EarthFest, organizations,
businesses, colleges, high schools, middle schools, elementary
schools, and individuals demonstrate sustainable concepts and
technologies, and provide interactive educational displays,
activities, and more! School students of all ages are welcome to
attend.
The Pennsylvania Horticultural
Society's Kids Grow Expo is a horticultural exhibition by and
for school age children of the greater Philadelphia region. It
is an educational project that creates an awareness of
horticulture and the natural environment and encourages active
participation of youth in growing, gardening, and related
activities.

possible, Temple and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society have
collaborated to create the Transportation Angels program
for schools in need of funding for transportation to and from
EarthFest.
Please note that
Transportation Angels funding is meant for schools with
genuine economic need. Funding is available on a limited basis.
