"Born in the USA - Fascinating Creatures Found
in the United States"

Be a part of the Zoo on Wheels! This interactive program focuses on the most fascinating creatures found in the United States and highlights how to protect the animals that share out home.

Pennridge High School
"There's Still Time - Environmental Puppet Show"

Everyone can make a difference when it comes to protecting and conserving the environment! There's still time! Find out what part you can play during this vibrant puppet show created, produced, and performed by the students of Pennridge High School.

"The Commitment to Sustainability Award"
Presented to the Souderton Area High School SAVE (Students Against Violating the Earth) Student Organization
During EarthFest 2007, SAVE, in addition to being a school exhibitor, will be presented with the first “EarthFest Commitment to Sustainability Award.” SAVE seeks to “promote the preservation of our natural world by encouraging appreciation, understanding, and responsible use of the environment. Our goal is to create a sustainable world by spreading information about environmental problems and encouraging appropriate public involvement in the solutions to those problems.”

"How to Build a Storm: The Weather Show"

Lightning, twisters and hail—oh my! This new show reveals the science of weather...to the extreme. Where does our weather come from, and what factors make it a sunny day or a blustery one? We'll make a cloud, explore thunder and lightning, and even create snow. We promise a stormy ending to this show as we demonstrate the power of a tornado. The science concepts presented include, the water cycle, thermodynamics, air masses, and fronts.

Justin Lock, Meteorologist, "Your Morning," CN8, The Comcast Network
"Global Warming - An Interactive Debate"

During EarthFest 2007, Main Stage Host Justin Lock will
will take a close look at all sides of the global warming issue and provide students new ways to explore the topic. He will lead an interactive discussion with students about the issues related to global warming in addition to providing insight into the meteorology field. Don't miss this opportunity to share your thoughts about this important, hot button issue!

1:00  p.m.

Elmwood Park Zoo
"Live Animals and Biofacts"

Learn about the many animals that call the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown home and see some of the zoo's residents up close! Learn how to become an active participant in conservation!

Garden Tours will depart from between Dixon Hall and Hilda Justice Building on the hour beginning at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon.

Learning Center Tours will begin at the Learning Center front door at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, will be shown in the Learning Center Auditorium throughout the day.
